Located a few minutes from our hotel, it is the capital of La Rioja Alta and one of the most charming towns in La Rioja. It stands out for its huge wine tradition and for being officially the “Capital of the Rioja”.
To its numerous wineries such as CVNE or Muga, to mention some of the most famous, it is necessary to add the attraction of its historic center with some interesting monuments such as the church of San Nicolás or the 7 statues that are found in the town in which they represent the old trades of Haro.
Also noteworthy is its “Battle of Wine”, a festival of National Tourist Interest that is held every year on June 29.
In Haro there is a wide gastronomic offer for all tastes and pockets. Mix of culture, landscape and gastronomy, Haro is a place you can not miss in your visit to La Rioja.

ÁBALOS
EThe small town in which we are, on the left bank of the Ebro River, is worthy of a stroll both for its careful structure of narrow streets and beautiful houses, and for the surrounding landscapes.
The church of San Esteban, from the 15th century and declared a national monument, is the most representative monument.
We are the last town of La Rioja, in fact we are 2 minutes from the border with the Basque Country, specifically from La Rioja Alavesa.
As is necessary for these lands, the culture of wine is very present. We have up to 4 wineries in the village and walking a few meters from the hotel you will find many hectares of vineyards among which you can walk and even do our interpretation of the vineyard to know all the stages and care of the vines before the production of wine.

LAGUARDIA (12 MINUTES FROM THE HOTEL)
This medieval charming town in the Rioja Alavesa is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Spain.
Laguardia is a short distance from our hotel and is one of the most touristic places in the area. It is a pleasure to walk through the walled area, to cross its magnificent medieval doors, to walk through its cobblestone streets or to sit down for a drink in the Plaza del Gaitero. As outstanding monuments we have the Church of Santa María de Los Reyes or La Torre Abacial, from where there are spectacular panoramic views of the vineyards.
Gastronomy and oenology are of course two of Laguardia’s strengths, with many wineries that can be visited.

In the lower part of the town is the jewel of the Briones crown, the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture, considered by the UNWTO as the best wine museum in the world.
